Worth every penny

"Worth every penny. It’s awesome that you can still buy a quality Softopper for a 1st gen 4Runner. Shipping was quick, everything was packaged well, and the instructions were clear as day. Installation was straightforward and the fit is excellent. One thing to know: let the topper sit in the sun before trying to button it up for the first time. It makes stretching the fabric much easier. Another tip: hand-tighten the metal frame bracket. I got a little too aggressive with a screwdriver and stripped one of the screws. That was on me, not the product. Overall, I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend it to anyone looking to keep the classic 4Runner experience while adding some versatility."

1988 4Runner

"Top notch quality, looks great and doesn’t even make a lot of noise. I expected straps flapping and squeaks but hardly notice it’s on. The open air safari look on the 4Runner completely changed the look of your rig, very pleased. Not sure what to do about the rear cover. I wish it had a magnetic option instead of sticking Velcro to the paint."

"yes its great unless you bought right before the sale and you dont get 15% off damm it!!! i would have done so free adertising with old coter catcher for them. For reference purpose I have attached a photo of cooter catcher for them. Directions on install are garbage

"In today’s world get AI to do step by step videos on every vehicle like the 1989 Toyota 4 Runner for how to install it. Your soft top is not very good if your customers install it wrong and it blows off on the highway. Plus the danger you are putting on the driver nd the other drivers on the road. The video on your website doesn’t even work so again your customers are left with generate pdf paper instructions and barely any pictures. Spend some money on making this an easy process nd save experience for your customers. Somebody stops me at a Gas station a says hey great 4Runner how was that softopper to install…. He going to get an earful of unloading stress and misery and the 3 1/2 hours of my life I want back and the stress of picking up off the high way. So he’s probably not going to buy one voter talking to me!!!"

"While the topper is great and ease of going from safari to full top is awesome the snap buttons could be better placed. There were 2 snaps on each side that were not placed well and caused the canvas to be saggy. The material is good only thing that sucks is that the straps scratch the windows."

Any roll cage that fits under the hardtop of a Blazer/Bronco/4Runner/Ramcharger will fit under the Softopper with no issues.  However, the Softopper may not retract with the rear roll cage installed without needing to go through an extra step. You just take the folding frame off the pivot pins and lower it into the bed, then fold it backward, and then pop the folding frame back onto the pivot pins. We warrant all of our Softoppers to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year, with the exception of vinyl windows and zippers, provided there has been normal use and proper maintenance.

Vinyl Windows are warranted for a period of 3 months from the date of purchase.

Zippers are guaranteed to be in perfect working condition when leaving the factory. Due to atmospheric conditions, dirt, sand, road grime, dust, and abrasive cleaners, etc., zippers are warranted for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase.

Toyota 4 Runner, Blazer, Jimmy, Scout, Bronco, and RamCharger side curtain windows are warranted for 45 days from the date of purchase. Retracting or closing the top when the temperature is below 40 degrees may void the warranty on the side windows, as clear vinyl plastic can crack very easily at these temperatures. Use caution when retracting the top or cleaning off the windows in freezing temperatures.
